Here she is!  Artist, entrepreneur, friend, cupcake mastermind and recent winner of Food TV’s Cupcake Wars – the very lovely and talented Heather Cupcakes!  Her humble little Cupcakery in Penfield, NY – Dollop – is all the buzz these days.  …and deservedly so!  Since being crowned Cupcake Queen by The Food Network, those in search of her uniquely decadent creations have formed lines not only out the door, but around the corner and often times, down the street!  …and word around town is that it is well worth the wait!

Heather’s rise to the top of the cupcake world has been an inspiration to myself and an entire community.  Knowing her as I do, I can say with confidence that this is not the end of the road for her.  I look forward to seeing all of the wonderful things that the future has in store for her :)

We found a break in Heather’s busy schedule recently to hang out on the train tracks of Fairport, NY.  Beautiful weather, great conversation and spectacular  light made for a fantastic evening.  Here are a few of the images we came up with:

I mighta dropped the ball here :-/  The plan was to set out to capture imagery for a Save The Date card to announce their wedding.  Traditionally these should be everything that is expected: Two people in a cool setting, wearing nice clothes smiling for the camera, etc etc.

I don’t see that when I look at Lindsy and Matt.  I see two people.  Two beautiful people who are made more so in the presence of one another.  This is their essence,,,characterized by a silent comfort, an unwavering confidence…an unshakable bond.  This is what I see when I look at Lindsy and Matt.

Oh…and it seems that we did manage a proper Save the Date image.  …tho it’s impact seems less in comparison.

Thank you dear Lindsy and Matt for sharing your precious time with me.  It was an honor.

A sucker for a man in uniform.   If you’re the type that feels this way, then this post is for you.  A beautiful bridal party coupled with a hint of US Military swagger and well, there really are no words.  At the center of it all were two people very much connected – the lovely Tara and the dapper Mike.  Connected to one another and to all who came to celebrate.  It was an privilege to witness and share in the energy of that day.  …an experience that I will not soon forget!

Thank you to my dear friend Kristie Blake for having me along…it’s an honor to work by your side.  …and don’t forget the Beatle mecca Abbey Road Pub.  If you didn’t drag me out kicking and screaming, I would probably still be there today!  Lots of love dear friend…EPIC memories :)

I’ve been reluctant to post these images for some time due to the fact that I simply cannot find words to introduce them properly.  I am so head-over-heels-nuts-so for these musicians…not only for the gifts that they share, but for the people that they are and the honest eloquence with which they expose themselves in their craft.   It was a privilege to observe and collaborate in the creative process with such open, honest and vulnerable spirits.  Their gift is a gift to us all.

Love.  It’s all about the love.  Warm embraces, smiles stretched across faces and tears of joy.  …copious tears of joy.  Corinne and Matt’s most beautiful day was just that – most beautiful.  What a privilege to have witnessed and participated in something so real.  To all who attended, participated and contributed to that day’s enormity, thank you for all that you are.

Laura and Jorge Posada recently hosted a launch party at NYC’s The National Restaurant to mark the arrival of their latest creation:  Cinco Anillos Sangria.  The name, Spanish for ‘Five Rings’ was used to pay tribute to the 5 World Series rings that Jorge accumulated over his 17 (and still counting) seasons with the New York Yankees.  What’s also worth noting is that a portion of the proceeds of all Cinco Anillos products will go directly to The Jorge Posada Foundation…a foundation whose purpose is to provide support to families and children who are affected by Craniosynostosis – a birth defect that causes abnormal formation of the skull.

As the Official Foundation Photographer over the past 3 years, I have seen how much genuine effort the Posada’s and their staff put into the cause.  …and how much progress they have made.  Hip Hip Jorge!!!  There is still more work to be done though, and I am confident that they remain wholeheartedly committed to the cause.  If you’d like to learn more about The Jorge Posada Foundation or how you can help, simply CLICK HERE.

I hope that this finds you all well.

I’ve recently wrapped another amazing season of Wedding Photography…a year marked by exploration and discovery, progress, perspective, gratitude and humility and above all, joy.  There simply aren’t words to describe how grateful I feel.  Thank you to everyone who played a roll.  You are unforgettable and undeniably pivotal.  A million times, thank you.

I thought that I’d re-emerge on the blogscene and introduce you to two beautiful people:  Kyla and Ryan.  Very much in love, shot through with goodness and easy on the eyes.  Yep.  The real deal.  Their wedding this past summer was a blast…creatively envisioned and impeccably executed by Laura Linder of Better Together Events of Rochester, NY and hosted at the famed Oak Hill Country Club (Site of the 2013 PGA Championship).  It was the best kind of day…marked by love, laughter and light.   Kyla and Ryan…thank you my dear friends.  It was a beautiful way to start a friendship :)

t (Destination Wedding Photographer)

Today I’m sharing a card I designed for Nikki & Mike, a wonderful couple who just married this fall. They were looking for a simple folded card to showcase an image Tom took with them holding cute wooden “Thank You” plaques they found for their wedding. I’ve shared pictures of our uniquely shaped tri-fold and accordion cards in past posts, but wanted to let you know we can do traditional 5″x7″ folded cards as well. :o)

Nikki and Mike chose standard paper, but we also offer watercolor, pearl or linen textured paper.

In addition to our 5″x7″, tri-fold, and accordion cards, we can also do 4″x5.5″ folded cards and 5″x5″ or 5″x7″ flat (postcard style) cards. All cards are custom designed, so anything is possible!
